D&D Italia – D’Amico was founded in 1967, although the love affair with food started well before that. Two brothers, Mario and Francesco, started the business by packaging the anchovies of the Amalfi coast. The results were immediate and brilliant, causing the brothers to expand into the production of preserved vegetables. Today D’Amico is so successful that it can be numbered amongst the main companies in this specific field and has market leadership in the centre-south of Italy .
The company is characterized by five distinctive points: the high quality standards, the enormous productive potential, the flexibility of the output, product innovations and the growing presence in foreign markets.
The “Specialità” line of products has immediately meet the interest of consumers and business operators and gained D’Amico a new dimension in the food market. The company has arranged the overall range of products in a way to serve the retail sector as well as catering and food service.
The commercial policy of the company is to emphasize the importance of the D’Amico brand and to communicate the constant attention given to the quality of the raw materials chosen as well as of the hygienic procedures followed during the productive process and guaranteed by the latest technology in the food sector.
D’Amico is still a family run business and they are still trying to transfer to consumers the joy and care that they put in preserving vegetables: sun dried tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, artichokes, mushrooms, courgettes and many more. The preserved vegetables under the D’Amico flag are the ambassadors of regional Italian cooking styles and are exported around the world.
