The activity of the D’Amico family in the preserved food sector, dates back to long time ago even if the official start of the business can be settle in the 1967.
D&D Italia (D’Amico & D’Amico) was founded by the entrepreneurial idea of two brothers: Mario and Francesco who started to package the anchovies of the Amalfi coast. The results were immediate and brilliant and this brought the two brothers to enlarge their output typology including the typical raw materials of “Campania Felix”: preserved vegetables.
D’Amico has always been trying to transfer to the consumers the joy and cure that they put in preserving vegetables: sun dried tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, artichokes, mushrooms, courgettes and many more, under D’Amico flag are the ambassadors of our regional cooking style in Italy and in many other foreign countries. In fact D’Amico can be counted as one of the most important Italian companies in the food sector.
The products are strictly bounded to the ancient traditions of the Mediterranean area and their success is assured by the perfect mix of an artisan vocation with an industrial organization where strict controls are done over the raw materials as well as over the final output.output.
Years and years of experience have led D’Amico to continuously focusing its attention over the changing food attitudes of the final consumers: the latest effort has been the creation of “Le Specialità Line” that includes references of high quality prepared following the regional cooking tradition of the different Italian regions.
